The S.L.I.C.E.D Initiative is not your average youth program. It’s a space where clippers meet character, where grooming becomes growth, and where real-world skills replace risky distractions. It’s where young people—especially those who’ve been written off—learn to rewrite their own stories.
We serve youth ages 13–18 (high school senior) from Tuscaloosa and surrounding areas who are:
Struggling with school performance or absenteeism
From low-income or single-parent households
At risk of involvement in the juvenile justice system
Dealing with behavior challenges or social isolation
Lacking access to mentorship and safe after-school spaces
